The refurbishment works to this 3,000sqm call centre were carried out in an occupied site with the requirement to remain completely operational during the building works. Ergo Group’s early involvement included value engineering the scope to allow for the reduction of certain works to permit additional expansion in other areas within the budget and program.
To mitigate the risk of any possible downtime for this 24-hour call centre, Ergo Group also upgraded the existing backup generator to bring it up to current modern standards. The project required a full strip out and rewiring of the electrical power system, new lighting and lighting controls, as well as communications and audio-visual systems installed across a large floor plate.
The project represents another partnered venture with PBG, who nominate Ergo Group as a preferred contractor across multiple projects. Ergo Group have also secured a 5-year maintenance contract for the Newcastle Service NSW branch.
